Where our data comes from

  • Rule thresholds (hour requirements, Pathway A/B, ethics) come from TSBPA's own published documents: Exam Requirements and Certification Requirements (PDFs, last verified 2026-08-13, content-hash pinned). Every row of your result cites the exact document it came from.
  • Course codes, titles and pinned hours follow the Texas Common Course Numbering (TCCNS) conventions used statewide — they are not one school's catalog. Our pinned hours are an internal estimate derived from the TCCNS numbering pattern — not per-course values read from a verified source; if your school's version of a course carries different credit hours, the ✎ control on the course row lets you enter your transcript's value, and the result flags the difference.
  • What we do not track: individual university catalogs. Schools revise curricula periodically — for example, the University of Houston updated its accounting curriculum for Fall 2026 — so a course your school lists may differ from the common numbering. Confirm course specifics with your academic advisor, and the final word is always TSBPA's.
